Specific duties:

  1. Compliance and Regulation
  • Understand and ensure compliance with chemical, safety, health, and environmental requirements applicable to the work being supervised.
  • Ensure that employees under your supervision are aware of all known or reasonably foreseeable safety, health, and environmental hazards in their workplace.
  • Keep the company updated with new related laws and regulations.
  1. Training and Awareness Development
  • Provide orientation and EHS training for new and existing employees and stakeholders working at Sika.
  • Coordinate with the HR/ Training department to conduct annual EHS training courses.
  1. Chemical Compliance and Licensing
  • Prepare, update, and maintain legal documentation related to chemicals, including product declarations, chemical permits, and periodic chemical management reports.
  • Ensure that Sika products comply with local authority regulations and corporate requirements regarding SDS, labeling, chemical safety, and other EHS-related aspects.
  • Represent the company during inspections or meetings with regulatory authorities (e.g., Vietnam Chemical Agency, Department of Industry and Trade) concerning chemical safety and compliance.
  • Monitor the purchase, import, and use of restricted or regulated chemicals to ensure pre-check and post-check requirements are met.
  • Track and implement updates to applicable chemical regulations and ensure relevant internal guidance is in place.
  1. EHS Activities and Supervision
  • Perform EHS activities such as Safety Walk, Safety Talk, Safety Moment, BBS, 6S, PSSI, process safety, Spheracloud reporting, hazard analysis and risk assessment, related control measures, chemical safety, periodic Safety Newsletter release, Safety Online sharing, and monitoring EHS data, targets, and objectives.
  • Control and implement EHS inspections, and emergency rescue plans for incidents such as fire explosions, chemical leaks, first aid, etc.
  • Develop and maintain Sika EHS guidelines and minimum requirements.
  • Implement EHS-related projects and events, such as fire protection programs and Safety Day.
  • Monitor and manage waste systems and conduct periodic environmental monitoring as per legal requirements and company regulations.
  • Inspect and advise on EHS matters and legal compliance of stakeholders.
  1. Incident Management and Coordination
  • Carry out accident/near-miss prevention and investigations.
  • Act as a Safety Committee Leader and collaborate with other departments in occupational health and safety duties.
  • Coordinate internal and external EHS audits and work with local authorities on annual inspections and corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to verify licenses related to legal and EHS compliance.
  1. Reporting and Documentation
  • Collect and prepare periodic KPI and Sustainability &Operations reports for Regional and Corporate levels.
  • Report EHS matters to the management team and local authorities.
  • File and organize all documents and records systematically for easy access when needed.
  1. Other Responsibilities
  • Maintain, inspect, and ensure readiness of emergency response equipment such as First Aid kits, spill kits, fire extinguishers, eye wash stations, and other emergency supplies across all relevant areas.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the EHS & Admin Manager and Financial Controller.

Your expertise - Our strength

  • Educational standard: Graduate in Chemical/Environment University or equivalent.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in Chemical , Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) fields.
  • Technical knowledge:
    • Must hold ISO certifications for ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
    • Familiarity with ISO 9001 and ISO 50001, as well as knowledge of 6S management, is an advantage.
    • Training or experience in chemical permits, EIA (DTM) reports, environmental permits, and communication with authorities.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Foreign language: Intermediate English proficiency
  • Personality Traits: Hard-working, intelligent, trustworthy, teamwork and possessing good interpersonal skills.

WORK BASE

Sika Vietnam - Dong Nai Factory  (10th Street, Nhon Trach 1 Industrial Zone, Nhon Trach District, Dong Nai, Vietnam)

TRANSPORTATION TO DONG NAI HEAD OFFICE

Shuttle buses are provided at these pick-up points
+ Ho Chi Minh City (District 1, District 3, District 2, Tan Binh District, Binh Thanh District)
+ Thu Duc City (Binh Thai, Nguyen Duy Trinh)
+ Bien Hoa City
Buses depart between 6:30am and 7:00am, returning from the Head Office at 4:30pm daily, Monday to Friday.
